Video & Web Conferencing Features
Our video conferencing has a number of special features.
Participants, Presenters, Hosts
In Meeting Central there is a hierarchy with different features being accessible to Hosts, Presenters and Participants.
Participants can sit back and relax but can be promoted to Presenter or Host and can even share controls with them.
Presenters can share presentations and documents, but they cannot change the attributes of the conference room or promote, demote or expel users. A host can promote a Presenter to Host status.
Hosts have full control of the conference, by right clicking on any user you can:
- Promote or Demote any user
- Expel users from the meeting
- Manage all audio and video settings
- Manage the text conferencing
- Either open or close entry to a scheduled conference
Show Power Point Presentations
When you open up a Power Point presentation in Meeting Central it is first compressed at the Presenter's PC, then it is dynamically sent to our server and on to the participant where it is cached onto their PC. This means you can change slides instantly and most of the time the slides change as quickly as if you were in the same room as the presenter. Once uploaded, any page change commands are sent over the Internet so bandwidth is never a problem.

- Presenting a marketing campaign to a group of franchisees.
- Delivering a report to directors or investors.
- Offering an online webinar to demo a product or service.
- Training staff in multiple locations.
Share and Discuss Documents Online
You can share just about any type of document on your PC in Meeting Central. Even if you have a document created in a program that the participant does not have, you can still share the document with them. Once you decide to share the document it is compressed on your PC and sent to be cached on the participant's PC. You can flip through pages and also invite participants to annotate the document.
Document sharing is a great way to get a group to collaborate on a document or project
Application Sharing
In Meeting Central you can even share applications. If you are running an application in the meeting space you can literally hand the controls over to a participant to run the application – even if they do not have the application on their own PC.
For example you could load up a Microsoft World document in MS Word and someone in another country could directly amend the document on your PC.
Application sharing is perfect for putting together more complex documents or completing more complex tasks. For example putting together an advertising campaign or annual report.
Web Page Viewing
In Meeting Central you can share web browsing as well. It is just the same as having someone look over your shoulder while you surf the web. It is a lot easier to do this than to try and spell out a url over the telephone.
- People use web page sharing for things like:
- Analysing competitors' websites.
- Beta testing your own website and bringing marketing and technical staff together.
- Undertaking group research on the Internet.
- And demonstrating online software.
Remote Control
In fact with Meeting Central you can let anyone in your meeting control any application or desktop being shared. Once remote control is granted the user gains keyboard and mouse control over the remote PC. The host can override at any time. This is incredibly useful, for example:
- You can use remote control to ask someone else in the meeting to conduct part of your presentation.
- Invite a participant to make a point
- Even carry out technical support.
- Demonstrate new software.
Whiteboard
The Meeting Central whiteboard is just like a regular meeting whiteboard. You can write, draw and use geometric drawing tools to support brainstorming or any other creative process.
Use whiteboard to keep notes or work out a group problem.
Multiparty video
Meeting Central comes with seamless, integrated multiparty video. It means you see all the people in the meeting in real time at once. Our video quality is about the highest quality available on any Internet-based video conferencing
